A document automation site for an insurer

Producing terms and conditions used to take this insurer months. We built Tango, and now it takes about five minutes.

The Tango dashboard on a laptop: saved documents, templates and quick actions.
The Create Document workflow: document type, jurisdiction and language. The compliance dashboard: trend, score and active templates.

The problem

In insurance, one set of terms and conditions passes through legal, marketing, operations, partners and external counsel before anyone can publish it. Every new product, partner or jurisdiction starts the loop again.

For our client that loop could run for months, and no one could see where a document was stuck.

What we built

Tango turns that human process into a single workflow. The parts that have to be exact stay deterministic.

Template editor
Drafting starts from approved templates, with the structure already in place.
Threaded comments
Feedback sits next to the text it refers to, not in a separate email chain.
Approver hand-offs
Clear hand-offs between legal, compliance, operations, partnerships and marketing.
One-click publishing
Sign-off to published in a single step.
Built-in translation
First-pass translation for other jurisdictions.
Audit trail
A record of who changed what, and when.

We used AI only where it helps, such as first drafts and translation. A terms and conditions document is not the place to let a model improvise.

The result

From months to minutes.

  • ~5 min to produce a terms and conditions document, down from months.
  • 100s of hours saved across teams every month.
