Meet Kyln
From first idea to finished product.
Kyln is a digital design-and-build agency for the AI era, based in London. Marketing sites, product and platform builds, AI prototype rescue and fractional-CTO direction — entered through a paid review from £1,500, or Sites & Care from £175/month.
Ideas are easy to shape. Anyone can sketch something out, build a prototype or prove a concept. Creating a product that people trust, use and depend on is a different challenge altogether.
That is where Kyln comes in. We take what you have started and forge it into something ready for the real world. From technical foundations and user experience to scale, we turn promising ideas into products built to last.

Product design
User experience, interfaces and digital thinking.
Build & development

AI & automation
Practical AI that improves products and processes.
Infrastructure & scale
Architecture, cloud, security and technical foundations.
Ongoing support
Hosting, monitoring, maintenance and continuous improvement.
AI writes the first 80%. The last 20% is the product.
Generation is the easy part now. An AI agent drafts most of a feature on its own, then stops at the 20% that decides whether a real customer can trust it: authentication, data, edge cases, security.
There is a name for closing that gap properly. Vibe coding is prompting an AI and shipping what comes back. Agentic engineering is the opposite discipline: AI kept inside real guardrails, tests and review. The first is fine for a weekend prototype. The second is what production software needs, and it is the whole of what we do.

Our Projects

A marketplace where people buy and sell cars and private plates directly: list a vehicle they are looking for, receive offers, counter, and settle the deal in one place.

A fast-growing marketplace lost 30% of its revenue when a developer switched email provider without warming the sender or aligning the DNS, so the marketing emails landed in junk. We found the cause in under 30 minutes, fixed SPF, DKIM and DMARC, warmed the sender, and the click rate returned within the week.

Generating insurance T&Cs is a months-long back-and-forth between Legal, Marketing, Ops, Partners and external counsel. We learned that process and turned it into a five-minute one. Drafting, review and sign-off, with threaded comments, approver hand-offs and an audit trail that holds up. Deterministic where it has to be, AI where it helps.

Vinted for golf clubs. Sell the set gathering dust in the garage, or pick up someone else's, on your phone or the web. You get what you paid for, or your money back.

Same job, different scale
Hi, I'm Josh. I was studying geology when I took a job on an IT service desk, resetting passwords in the Windows XP era. Twenty years on, the work has run from weekend PC builds for farmers and small offices, through backup tapes swapped by hand in server rooms, to server migrations for challenger banks and redesigning how a UK government department connects its cloud networks.
The scale kept changing. The job underneath never did.
Whoever the client is, I get picked for the same reason: I ask the question everyone else forgot to. A national CCTV rollout once looked ready to launch, until that question turned up a small detail — anyone could download the footage with a link. AI has now made it easy to ship something beautiful with nothing holding it up. That's why I started Kyln: proper architecture, security and technical direction for small businesses, at the standard I held for banks and government.
Is your AI-built product safe to sell yet?
The Production Readiness Scorecard is a two-minute self-assessment that grades how close your product is to something you can safely put in front of paying customers, and names the risks standing in the way.
- 01
Describe what you built
One line on what your product does and how many paying customers it has today.
- 02
Answer honestly
A short set of pointed questions across auth, data, security, testing and operations.
- 03
Get your grade and risks
An instant letter grade and a “% ready” score, then your three biggest risks ranked worst-first, specific to what you’ve built.
C
64% ready
Promising, but not safe to charge for yet. Three issues would bite a real customer first.
